Don Kaufhold - Founder & Board Chairman
Don Kaufhold has been the organist at First United Methodist Church, Charlotte, since October 2009. As a teenager in the mid-1980s, he studied with local Charlotte organists Dr. Robert Stigall and John Palmer Smith.
Don earned a Bachelor of Music degree from Appalachian State University in 1992 where he studied with Dr. H. Max Smith, and

Don earned a Bachelor of Music degree from Appalachian State University in 1992 where he studied with Dr. H. Max Smith, and in 1996 he earned a Master of Liturgical Music degree from The Catholic University of America where he studied with Dr. Peter Marshall and Dr. Robert Grogan.
In 2016 Don created the Kathryn Stephenson Pipe Organ Foundation. His full-time employment is with Accenture LLP as a member of the anticorruption compliance team where he helps lead the company’s internal due diligence function.

Kevin Haney is the Finance Director for the Town of Stanley in Gaston County, North Carolina. Prior to this position, he was in a similar position for the City of Lowell, North Carolina. His work background prior to governmental work includes accounting work in the senior care industry, banking services, higher education, and hospitality
Kevin Haney is the Finance Director for the Town of Stanley in Gaston County, North Carolina. Prior to this position, he was in a similar position for the City of Lowell, North Carolina. His work background prior to governmental work includes accounting work in the senior care industry, banking services, higher education, and hospitality services. Kevin’s undergraduate degree in business administration is from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and his Master’s degree is from Pfeiffer University in health administration. He is a native of Gastonia, North Carolina, and has lived in this area most of his life.
Kevin is the immediate past Treasurer for the Charlotte Chapter of the American Guild of Organists (AGO). He will assume the Auditor position for the Charlotte Chapter of the AGO later this year. He has been a Board member of the Charlotte Chapter for the past four years. Kevin currently serves as Organist at First United Methodist Church in Conover, North Carolina.
